The Malmö Summit

Program

The ICLEI World Congress 2021 – 2022: The Malmö Summit will have three days of core programming for participants, featuring strategic high-level dialogues building on themes explored in 2021, as well as exciting technical visits, in-depth workshops and multiple networking opportunities especially suited for in-person participation.

The event will feature a variety of sessions, so to help you choose the ones that match your interests, we have divided them into the following overarching categories:

  • Strategies towards a climate neutral future
  • Strategies towards resilient and healthy communities
  • Strategies towards equitable and inclusive communities

Additionally, in order for cities, towns and regions to achieve these objectives, the Malmö Summit will give special attention to sustainable finance and innovation.

Networking at Malmö: A social event

When we finally get to meet in person, social aspects of the Malmö Summit become extra important.

Meet new and old acquaintances during the congress days at a “Swedish fika” (coffee or tea served with a cinnamon bun) or over a vegetarian lunch. Connect at the dinner over locally grown, organic food and music from local artists. Experience entertainment that reflects Malmö’s exciting diversity with over 180 nationalities – almost the whole world.

Feel right at home in Malmö and be inspired at the ICLEI World Congress 2021 – 2022. Take home new learnings, exchanges and contacts that contribute to a more sustainable world.
