We will gather in person in São Paulo, Brazil, for the ICLEI World Congress 2024, on 18-21 June 2024 to exchange with and inspire one another on the best practices in local sustainable development, and learn firsthand from the City of São Paulo’s wealth of sustainability initiatives.

Thanks to the generous support of the City of São Paulo, there is no charge for participation. However, please note that space is limited, and securing your spot through pre-registration and approval is required. We will only be able to welcome you to the Congress if you receive a Registration Approved confirmation email from us.

At the ICLEI World Congress 2024 we welcome local and regional leaders and department level municipal staff that are part of the ICLEI network (or would like to become a part of our network!), local and regional government associations, national government and intergovernmental representatives, UN and other international agencies and financial institutions, academic and research institutions, global and specialized media, civil society representatives as well as the private sector.

When filling out the registration form you should first choose Media as your “primary organization type”. As a second step, upload your “proof of a status” in the next question. We will only be able to welcome you to the Congress if you receive a Registration Approved confirmation email from us.

You can register once more and enter your details correctly. We will only take into account your most recent registration.

No, there is no need to register again. Contact us via world.congress@iclei.org and provide your details (first and last name, country, organization) and the registration approval will be sent to you again.

Please email us at world.congress@iclei.org with “Cancellation and replacement of registration” in the subject line. Please include your colleague’s details (including first and last name, country and organization) in your email so we can make sure that your colleague takes your place. After sending the email, your colleague should register themself as a new registrant by filling out the online registration form.

Letting us know is crucial for us to organize a successful participation in the Congress. Please send us an email at world.congress@iclei.org with your details (including first and last name, country and organization) with the subject “Cancellation of registration”.

Certificates are available upon request after the event. If you would like to receive a certificate, you can contact us by sending an e-mail to world.congress@iclei.org with “Certificate of attendance” in the subject line.

Fill out the registration form here. Upon submitting the form, you’ll receive an immediate email that your registration application has been received. This initial email does not yet secure your access to the Congress. Due to the limited capacity, we review all registrations carefully. If your registration is approved, you will receive an email with the subject line, “Registration for ICLEI World Congress 2024 Approved,” which grants you access to the ICLEI World Congress 2024.

We provide visa support for ICLEI Members and invited speakers. Participants who belong to one of these categories and would like to receive a visa support letter from ICLEI should select the visa requirement option when completing the registration form. However, other visa procedures such as visa application, visa fee etc. are the responsibility of the participants themselves and we do not provide any support in these matters.
