8) “Carolina de Jesus” Mechanized Sorting Plant with capacity to process 250 tons of recyclable waste daily

Visit to the Carolina Maria de Jesus Mechanized Sorting Plant, built and managed by Ecourbis, with a separation capacity of up to 250 tons of materials per day. In addition to the site visit, the Laboratory will have a presentation of the entire waste collection and separation system in the city of São Paulo, inviting those present to a discussion about the recurring problems and solutions in the cities, including data and presenting the support program to Cooperativism and the management program for Recycling Cooperatives in the city of São Paulo.

Safety recommendations
During the field study, everyone must wear long pants and low, closed shoes. It is strictly prohibited to smoke throughout the area and to consume snacks and drinks in the operational area of ​​the site.
